Belton 9-pin miniature chassis mount tube socket

$3.20

New production 9-pin socket suitable for 12AX7 and other 9-pin miniature tubes. We prefer this style of socket over other new-production sockets, because the pins are a little better-seated and it is easier to mount thicker gauges of wire.

Early Wurlitzer electronic pianos have tube amplifiers with point-to-point wiring. We have found that rearranging components and redoing the heater wires results in a lower noise floor in just about every tube model. It is possible to reuse vintage tube sockets. However, when revising large portions of the circuit, it is usually more efficient to cut out the old components and replace the tube sockets entirely.

This is a new-production socket. Depending on Wurlitzer model and your desired orientation, mounting it may require minor modification to the chassis, such as drilling a new screw hole.
